After multiple inquiries about mentoring, I have decided to offer it on a trial basis. Mentoring session are in person at my home or yours and are not for seasoned professionals.

Beginners – $400

If you are new to the photography and would like some direction on Photoshop, composition, lighting, and a bit more on how to work your camera then this is for you. This will not include any information on any aspect of business but will just help you learn to shoot in manual, take better pictures and edit more effectively. This is a 3 hour mentoring session and I will teach you a bit about my lighting, composition and show you how I edit my pictures, what actions I use and it will also include a mini session for you to practice with some direction. We will also have a little time for me to answer any questions you might have. A knowledge of how to change your camera’s settings is a must.

Photoshop – $100

If you are just interested in learning a bit more about Photoshop, I am more than willing to help! This is a 1 hour mentoring session with a one week email follow up if you have additional questions.

Please email me for available dates and additional details.

Testimonial from a previous mentoring client:

“Melissa’s mentoring program was exactly what I needed to set me on my path to taking great photographs! Having admired her work for years and trusting her with my own family photographs over and over, I signed up! I highly recommend it to any beginner photographer. I went in to our session not knowing what the heck aperture was and came out shooting in full on manual mode! She explained in a way I could understand, what all of those buttons on my camera were. She even helped me make sense of Photoshop! And believe me, that is no easy task! Everything was hands on learning, getting out there, shooting… With Melissa’s guidance and wealth of knowledge of her craft, the information I gained is priceless. She made the hard stuff easy. Fun, even, and has helped me take my photos from okay, to memories I can hang on my wall and cherish forever. Thank you, Melissa!!” – Maxi Erdmann
