rainy day musings

It’s been a cold and rainy day today. I don’t get many weekends to just lay around, watch some movies with my loves, snuggle, nap – it really has been quite enjoyable. It gave me time to think a bit. I don’t write many personal things on this blog because well, I am a personal person and I am not very eloquent or deep in thought but today I realized it has been a really really long time since I have picked up the camera to photograph my children. I use to do it a lot . I was talking with Robert yesterday and told him how I feel like I don’t know how to photograph them anymore. Maybe it’s having 2 at home that are really mischievous or perhaps my health has been poor lately or maybe that it is winter time and not so pleasant outside or that I find my new iphone and instagram perfectly adequate but then I thought how those are really bad excuses. Every year I do a family photo album and for the past 2 months I will have nothing to put into my 2012 album, that made me really sad because they have been doing really cute things in those times I just haven’t picked up my camera.

So here is my resolve for 2012 2 months late, I will start documenting these little ladies again, taking pictures of their every day lives and all the silly and cute things they do all the time. Like today, Clara wanted to dress like a cowgirl and even though her shirt was dirty and her belt on crooked this to her was how a  cowgirl looked – apparently they can only wear white shirts. And I love how long her hair is getting, she says she wants to grow it out like mommy’s. I love this sweet, giggly girl who would do anything to go play out in the rain today, even wear her swimsuit most the day begging to go outside. Too bad it was 50 degrees.
